Having a healthy body image is something I have struggled with for almost half of my life. I have to admit, the media had a lot to do with that. I always felt insecure in comparison to the models and actresses I’d see on TV and as a result, I had low self-esteem and wasn’t truly happy.
From my own experience, one of the quickest ways to gain a healthy body image is when you do what you need to do to be healthy. You don’t have to change your entire lifestyle overnight but if you make an honest and daily effort to make healthier choices, you will see yourself in a whole different light. It’s amazing how treating your body with respect can help improve your overall state of being and raise your confidence to levels you never thought it could reach.
When you gain confidence, you gain more self-love and you learn to appreciate everything about yourself. And when you love yourself, it will radiate on the outside. And with your new found confidence and fierce attitude, you should choose to wear clothing pieces that accentuate and compliment your unique silhouette and bangin’ personality!
Just remember this: Regardless of shape and body type, you ARE beautiful. We were born as individuals. We cannot and should not wish to look like anyone other than ourselves. Love yourself and be yourself, all day, everyday!
